Like all our barware, it is handcrafted in the USA in our Middlebury, Vermont workshop.
Pewter barware is an excellent choice for cold drinks. It retains a pleasant chill, trapping in a liquid's coldness, which makes it perfect for a cold beer or other iced drink.
Please note: It is not advisable to drink hot liquids out of pewter mugs.
All Danforth barware is spun by hand in our Middlebury, Vermont workshop and meets or exceeds all FDA food-safety standards. We recommend hand-washing pewter barware with warm soap and water, then drying it completely.

I ordered a julip cup for my young son. The cup arrived quickly and is beautiful but the engraving was bubbly and there were black marks all over the cup. Danforth sent me another cup and yet again, the black marks were there and engraving was better but still not the kind of quality one would expect. Will not order from Danforth again.

My good friend adopted an older child whom he had been fostering for several years. Since the adoptee was a young man, a baby cup was not appropriate for the celebration reception. The mint julep cup was just the right size - I had it engraved with the official court date of his adoption, and he can have that cup on his dresser to hold small change, keys, etc. He loves it!
