This pewter spoon is a smaller version of the original Copeland Spoon that was found at Jamestown, Virginia in the 1930's. It bears the stamp of the maker, Joseph Copeland, with the date 1675. The original spoon is now on display at the Jamestown museum. The Copeland Spoon is 5 3/4 inches long and 1 1/2 inches wide and handcrafted in Vermont with fine lead-free pewter.
