The Scandi Flowers Bracelet / Marka is a bohemian yet sophisticated accessory for any occasion, whether casual or formal, or anywhere in between. It was designed with the natural beauty of Scandinavia in mind. "Marka" is one of those untranslatable words - it stems from old Norse, and it means a hilly woodland or forest that borders on a village. With this gorgeous piece, we hope to evoke a sense of wonder, appreciation, and beauty.
Our lead designer, Tim Copeland, was inspired to create a line of jewelry that pays homage to the values of Scandinavian and Nordic cultures. Cooperation, practicality, beauty, and appreciation of the natural world - these are not only touchstones of our northern neighbors in Iceland, Denmark, Finland, Norway, and Sweden; they also characterize Vermonters, as well as values of Danforth Pewter.
This bracelet has a 2mm brown leather cord and a round pewter charm that's approximately 1 1/16” diameter. The charm is not an exact circle; rather, it's a "charming" shape that speaks to the natural beauty of imperfect things.
