The Shallot Oil Lamp is part of the much-loved Onion Oil Lamp Family, along with its larger counterpart, the Onion, and its smaller sibling the Scallion. The pewter base of this oil lamp is spun by hand on a lathe. Our oil lamps are exquisite pieces of art that provide gorgeous lighting and augment any style of home decor, creating the perfect ambience to any room, indoors or outdoors, all year round.

We are proud to have been featured on the Discovery Channel's How It's Made, where you can watch our talented pewter spinners in action. Every lamp we sell is handspun and fitted with a quality burner and custom glass chimney, all by human hands in Middlebury, Vermont.
Dimensions & Specifications
Each oil lamp is spun individually by hand by one of our talented pewter spinners. For this reason, all dimensions are approximate. Subtle variations are natural.
- The Shallot Oil Lamp holds 10 ounces of oil. Oil burns at approximately 3 hours per ounce (based on our smokeless liquid paraffin oil.)
- Its base measures 4 inches in diameters. The lamps stands 10 1/2 inches high with its glass chimney.
- Each pewter oil lamp comes in a gift box with instructions and a care card. Wholesale orders do not include a gift box.
- The replacement wick for this lamp is the Medium Replacement Wick, SKU #89-029-0463.

I bought the shallot lamp to have in case of a power outage. It will work fine for that, but it's more than that. It's a work of art. I keep it on display in my kitchen. It's simply too beautiful to hide away. It has such pretty lines and a gorgeous soft glow to the pewter. Everyone who comes to my house admires it, and, I tested it. It will provide the light I'll need in the event of a power outage. I love it.
