In 1885, W.A. Bentley, a self-educated Vermont farmer, adapted a microscope to a bellows camera and became the first person to photograph a single snow crystal. "Snowflake" Bentley would go on to capture more than 5,000 snowflakes during his lifetime—and he never found two alike.
Each year, the Jericho, Vermont Historical Society commissions Danforth Pewter to make one unique design based on Bentley's original photographs. We are honored to have this privilege, and to offer you the 2021 Snowflake Bentley as a gorgeous pair of earrings, which will accentuate any outfit. We hope they will serve as a reminder of the astonishing uniqueness found in a single snowflake.
Earring charm measures 1" high x 3/4" wide.
A portion of all sales supports the Jericho Historical Society. These earrings are not available wholesale. The 2021 Snowflake Bentley design is also available as a necklace, Christmas ornament, scatter pin, and zipper pull
