Snowflake Bentley 2022 Ornament
It’s here...the Snowflake Bentley 2022 Ornament!
Why are these much-anticipated designs called Snowflake Bentleys? In 1885, the self-educated Vermont farmer Wilson A. Bentley became the first person to photograph a single snow crystal. "Snowflake" Bentley would make history for his work capturing over 5000 snowflakes on camera—and he never found two alike.
Today, Danforth Pewter has the rare privilege of being commissioned by the Jericho, Vermont Historical Society to create gorgeous ornaments and jewelry based on Bentley’s images. Everything we make is one-of-a-kind, because they’re all made by hand. In the context of Snowflake Bentley designs, “one-of-a-kind" takes on even more meaning!
We release one limited-edition Snowflake Bentley design every year, so they make for a wonderful tradition of collecting snowflakes over time.
A portion of all sales supports the Historical Society. Snowflake Bentley items are NOT included in our Buy 6 get the 7th Free Ornament promotion due to the fact that this is a commissioned piece for the Jericho Historical Society. For that reason, it is also excluded from all discounts and promotions, and it is not available wholesale.
