I just bought this tooth fairy train (in the store) for my grandson's 5th birthday and he loves it! The adults all love it too! In our family, the tooth fairy box always goes next to the child's toothbrush on the bathroom counter. This pewter tooth fairy box is his 1st collectible, and is a special VT product, as we are all Vermonters. Now he's officially ready for the tooth fairy! Lastly, I love the detail on the train. It's beautiful!
Only after I received it did I realize the top doesn't stay on the train unless it's in an upright position, not likely if it's put under the pillow, as one normally does with teeth for the tooth fairy. Although Danforth Pewter offered to have me return it, instead I used tape to make it work. I put a strip of masking tape rolled onto itself on the inside top. It both sticks to the train and the top and fills in the gap between the two. It should hold, although the tape might need to be changed after a few uses.
The entire experience was very positive! I ordered the tooth fairy box online with a name engraved. I did this as a last minute gift idea for a child's graduation. I never expected it to arrive in the time I had before the graduation. Right after the order, I received an email from Customer Service verifying all the details of my request. I forgot to ask what the time frame was. In 4 days I had my gift and was stunned! I am so impressed with the efficiency of your company and by the way the child I gave it to was so excited !!
