One of our most popular designs, our Dragonfly / Teal Barrette shows a vignette of graceful dragonflies in their natural habitat. Dragonflies are a powerful symbol of resilience, spiritual growth, and transformation; many people collect them because they offer strength and hope during hard times. All of our Dragonfly-themed gifts, including necklaces, earrings, ornament, keychain, magnet, brooch, and more, were designed in homage to the power of change and rebirth, and the precious beauty of Mother Earth.

The Dragonfly Barrette is a meaningful gift for anyone who has endured hardship, who understands the value of courage and change, and/or who loves and takes care of nature. They make a wonderful stocking stuffer, Secret Santa gift, gift for birthdays, holidays, congratulations, encouragement, or sympathy.

Great for thick hair that has trouble being tamed with other clips. The Dragonfly Barrette is cast and painted by hand in the USA in our Middlebury, Vermont workshop. The teal color is applied by hand, one at a time.

Dimensions & Specifications

Because we craft each accessory by hand, all dimensions are approximate. Subtle variations are natural.

    This is the second barrette I have purchased from Danforth, as always the quality and craftsmanship are top notch. The barrette holds a lot of hair and for its size isn't very heavy.

    I really love this barrette. It is so beautiful and the color so brilliant, but it is a bit on the heavy side and really pulls on the hair. I have thick hair, but it still weights it down a bit. Best used over a ponytail holder (it should take the weight off a bit).

    I bought this in Woodstock Vt. It's beautiful. It holds up well as I wear it a lot. I have thick hair and it holds a lot of hair
