Haiku Butterfly / Green Ornament

One of our newest designs, the Haiku Butterfly / Green Ornament is a tribute to the graceful Butterfly as well as to the simplicity of a haiku. Hand-painted with subtle splashes of green, this design allows light to shine through it, making it a lovely addition to a houseplant or silhouette in a window. It's a perfect piece of home decor, a way to "dress up" the house in celebration of spring and Easter! Use it as the "bow" on a gift, bouquet, or vase for an added touch for spring birthdays or weddings.

The Japanese style of poetry, haiku, is known for its ability to briefly isolate a moment, creature, or object in nature so that we can admire and appreciate the beauty within. Otherwise, life may pass right by us unnoticed. The haiku is a reminder to pause, observe, and find meaning in each moment.

The Haiku / Butterfly design is also available in purple, and both colors are also available in Haiku Dragonfly form. Like all our ornaments, these are crafted, painted, and assembled by hand in our Middlebury, Vermont studio.
