This medium glass chimney will fit Danforth's Spruce, Captain, Bay, Shallot, Cabin and Bristol (retired) pewter oil lamps. It is made from borosilicate glass which is more resistant to sudden or uneven temperatures than other types of glass.
We have a lovely Danforth oil lamp that we use almost every evening at dinner. For the second time in forever, the chimney broke (my carelessness). Photos and specs on line made it easy to pick the right replacement, and I was very pleased at the speedy shipment.

The chimney was shorter and thicker than the one it replaced. Also slightly smaller in diameter so I had to pinch the metal collar on the lamp in to fit it. I guess that isn't surprising since the old chimney was on a lamp that was a wedding gift 17 years ago and things are bound to change with time.. It is quite functional and suits it's purpose fine. Just not exactly what I expected.

Replacement chimney was expensive but great quality. Delicate and perfectly made. May be worth buying more than one to save on shipping. Customer service was great and quick!
