Onion Oil Lamp with 10" Globe
The simple curves of the onion inspired an elegant family of oil lamp designs: the Onion Oil Lamp (the largest), the Shallot, and the smallest of the three, the Scallion.
The base of this oil lamp is handspun on a lathe using the finest lead-free pewter, which is then fitted with a fine quality burner and stiletto hand-blown glass globe, all in our Middlebury, Vermont workshop. Our oil lamps add the perfect ambience to any room, indoors or outdoors. Great as a centerpiece for the dining room table or on a living room end table. It makes a treasured holiday tradition for many, creating a beautifully reflective and meditative atmosphere on cold winter nights.
Enjoy the light and warmth of an oil lamp while sitting on the porch for the evening sunset, for the holidays as you sit around the Christmas tree, and on those dark winter nights sipping wine or hot cocoa. Our customers tell us that their lamps often become the topic of conversation at many dinner parties. They are also a wonderful wedding gift that "lights the way" for newlyweds as they begin their lives together; a meaningful gift for anniversaries that will be cherished for years to come; and an exquisite gift for any other important occasion.
You can see how we make our oil lamps in the Discovery Channel segment How It's Made.
