In leafy woodlands of the East, the Rose-breasted Grosbeak often stays out of sight among the treetops. However, its rich whistled song is heard frequently in spring and summer, and is one of few birds whose song the hearing deficit can hear. We made this ornament in honor of them and in honor of everyone who loves this colorful bird.
All Danforth Pewter ornaments are cast from a hand-carved mold. They then pass through many talented human hands as they are painted, finished, assembled, and packaged, all within our Vermont workshop. We hope you cherish them as much as we do!

Beautiful piece
This is the third bird ornament that I've purchased as a gift. (I've previously bought the bluebird-twice). The colors are gorgeous, and my sister absolutely LOVES this one (she has the bluebird also, bought her that as a thank you gift for house-sitting). She hangs them on the woodwork in her doorway from kitchen to dining room so that she sees them many times a day. They are very well made and beautiful! Will be getting more!
