"Designing Wonderland, I wanted to express the feeling of peace and wonder I find being out in the woods in winter. As characters for this 'story in one frame' I chose woodland animals because they naturally inspire a sense of wonder in me. I think this is why so many childhood stories are populated by animals and their adventures. Their little gathering at the snowy tree in the woods also illustrates the idea of that the holidays are a time of gathering. The crystal bead is an exploration of adding color to a design in a way that also adds the dimension of movement. It is like another 'character' in this story—it suggests the crisp shimmer of a winter sky as it also suggests the ornaments we adorn our trees with in the holidays."

I love the 2019 Wonderland ornament. I love nature & wildlife & it is the perfect addition to our tree. It is smaller than the picture but I am very pleased with it & how beautiful the details are from the scenery, the animals & the pretty blue Swarovski crystal star. Also, customer service was friendly & helpful when I called to check on my order.
I gave this to my daughter for her birthday last December. It is simply beautiful! I love the theme of the animals in the forest gathered around their own tree. Danforth was so wonderful to deal with and even shipped it to Canada without charge. We love visiting their store but COVID will prevent us from going this year, however I will be ordering their beautiful ornaments once again.

I purchased two of these ornaments, one for a gift, and one for our tree. It was an enthusiastically received gift! The recipients were impressed that it was handmade, and said that they would think of us every year when they hung it on their tree. The ornament has a quiet reverence to it, with the creatures of the forest gathered around their simple, yet beautiful, Christmas tree. The white-as-snow birch trees -- inhabited by their own enchanting wildlife - perfectly frame the little scene, while the icy blue crystal catches the light, adding magic of its own.

For the past several years, I've purchased the annual ornaments for my four daughters and their families. Three of the four live out west. When I informed them of this years ornament, they were very impressed with the detail and craftsmanship. These ornaments will remind them of New England and the Christmases of their youth.
