Everything about this nativity is detailed and well-crafted. We have added pieces over the years and our kids (now teenagers and young adults) love setting it up. Unusual to have a nativity which is so compact. Two other family members have started collecting because they loved the intricacy and versatility.

I started collecting the Nativity pieces over the last couple of years with most purchases being directly from the flagship store and workshop in Middlebury. It came time to purchase the wooden creche with star and this time I was doing the order on-line. Yes, the creche and the Nativity pieces are very high quality and beautiful What actually overly impressed me though was the customer service and care provided by Sarah when we chatted on-line about my order. Sarah assured me that they had the creche in stock and that it would be delivered to my lake home by the date it needed to be there, even if it meant the Director of Retail Sales dropping it on my doorstep as he did not live too far away. Of course, when I arrived at my lake home from traveling, there was the box on my doorstep as promised. Although I have collected Nativity sets for years I haven't bought a separate creche. I began collecting my Danforth Pewter Nativity pieces last summer on a trip to Vermont. With additional pieces this year I was please to buy the wooden creche with star. Love the craftsmanship, materials, and design.
