love the medium size
This is my fifth barrette from Danforth and I love the designs and the quality! I wish there were more options in the medium size as the large sized barrettes are just too heavy for my hair. I even bought one of the tiny barrettes from a couple years ago and this works great when you just want to pull back a bit of hair. Alas, these are no longer available, either. Sigh.

Nice Barrette, but I am left handed
I am left-handed, and cannot put this barrette in my hair without the butterfly being upside down - the clasp is on the wrong side for me. Wondering if other lefties have the same issue ... ? Because of this, I have never worn it. I do have another barrette from Danforth Pewter with a design that doesn't look upside down when I wear it ... which I love.

Beautiful to look at
Beautiful, but clasp is very stubborn. This could be my particular clip, & I am considering returning it for exchange. Not nearly as heavy as large size clip, which is a definite plus
