I am disappointed in the size and also the weight. It doesn't stay lit either. Much less substantial than expected.

Dimensions & Specifications
Each oil lamp is spun individually by hand by one of our talented pewter spinners. For this reason, all dimensions are approximate. Subtle variations are natural.
- The Captain Oil Lamp holds 8 ounces of oil. Oil burns at approximately 3 hours per ounce, based on our smokeless liquid paraffin oil.
- It measures 9" high (including the glass chimney). The base is 5" in diameter.
- Our lamps come in a gift box with a care card that gives instructions for use. Wholesale orders do not include a gift box.
- The replacement wick for this lamp is the Medium Replacement Wick, SKU #89-029-0463.

Worth the wait!
Sorry I despaired over the delayed delivery date, as my pair of the Captain Oil Lamps was well worth the wait. Instead of using for Christmas, I used them for my New Year's Day meal and they set a beautiful mood. The workmanship is outstanding, and the pieces fit together perfectly, unlike other oil lamps that are made in China. I couldn't be happier with these.

Perfect Size
The Captain is beautiful. We have five of them, one in each of the medium sized rooms. All but one of the five were flawless in manufacture. For one of them the upper part that screws into the oil reservoir base is noticeably off from being vertical. The items were carefully packaged and shipped, so I don't believe there was damage in shipment. Still, we will keep it. We love them.
