Chamber Oil Lamp with 6" Globe

Bought this as a Valentines gift but couldn't wait until then to gift it. It now has a home on top the stereo speaker in the family room. I'm already picturing a Seaport lamp on the other speaker.

We bought one of these lamps 2 years ago and have used it occasionally. Recently the knob to advance the wick stopped doing so. I wrote to the company to ask for their suggestions about what might have happened and how to fix it. After being ignored for a few weeks, then bounced around to a few different people, the final answer was (and this is an exact quote), "She said you need a new replacement burner, and probably a new wick at this point. The burner is $25.00 and a new wick is $1.50." Since I had nothing to lose, I took the burner apart and found that the wheel was poorly fastened to the axle and once I crimped it tight again it is now functional. For a company with such a good reputation, I expected better craftsmanship (and even better customer service).

This lamp was a gift from my son. I light it every morning while I enjoy my Bible-reading quiet time and coffee. The craftsmanship is just beautiful! It will be a treasured heirloom in my family for generations. This is like a gateway piece...makes me want more lamps and pewter things in my life!

My wife loves this lamp beyond my understanding. It is lovely, well made, and surprisingly bright. I also very much appreciate that she is no longer using open flame candles.

I was looking for a practical alternative to candles during a power failure when inevitably someone has failed to return the flashlight to it's proper place! I now keep this beautiful lamp filled with oil sitting on my entry hall table with one of those tiny little boxes of kitchen matches perched on it's tray. The proportions of this lamp, and its integral, wide tray prevent accidental tipping over and the open handle loop makes it stable to carry where needed. And, best of all, it is as beautiful as it is practical. The elegant "frosty" (rather than highly polished) finish prevents finger prints from showing. The mechanism for advancing the wick is of high quality, making it easy to adjust the flame. Such a beautiful piece!

I purchased this lamp as a birthday present for my wife. It was very well received. It looks great and functions perfectly.

I've had this very Lamp for 25+ years it is still beautiful and functional. We have used it every Christmas and all through the winter and even on the porch and deck in the summer.

I became a paraplegic after a fall 2 years ago, and I wanted to give my wife a special gift for all she has done for me as my caregiver. We enjoy sitting out on our back porch listening to music and audible books in the evening by candlelight. I selected this chamber lamp and with its long last seen light time and it's exquisite design it was more than any picture can describe. My wife was that a loss for words when she open the gift and all I can say is it is now one of her favorite pieces. I used to work with wood and make things for my wife with my own hands, Thank you Danforth pewter for continuing the handmade craftsmanship trade that allowed me to give my wife such a gift.

The quality of this little guy is outstanding. I particularly like the perfectly proportioned shape and the handle that makes it easy to carry.
