Description  

This remarkable nativity scene was originally created by the artists at WT Wilson, and is now crafted exclusively at the Danforth workshop in Middlebury, Vermont. This set comes without the wooden Creche. The petwer pieces range from about 1-2 inches high. This miniature set is a lovely piece of Advent decor celebrating the Nativity story, and it fits beautifully into small spaces such as a bookcase, mantlepiece, or windowsill. Each piece is also available individaully. For measurements of individual pieces, please see their individual product pages.

    My husband has been adding to my nativity a little each year. I now have a beautiful set I enjoy displaying every year. I get so many compliments about the beautiful detail in each piece.

    I purchased two of these sets after the holidays last year as I had wanted a special nativity for myself and using the other as a gift for my sister who collects nativities. I came back to get the creche and stable for each of us a few months back. The detail in these pieces is just marvelous for the size. I decided to get the complete set for my brother. All three of us will have the same collection to put out for this upcoming season.

    This is a lovely miniature set that manages to be very detailed and comprehensive and yet can fit into a small space or spread out. The detail on the figures is incredible to touch. I wish there was a description of the history of this set and why Danforth chose it over others. I also wish that the pieces had flannel pouches like the ornaments do. Pieces are carefully packed in little plastic Ziploc bags, but I think the flannel pouches would be more environmental and would hold up better in the long run.
