Four Calling Birds Ornament
“On the fourth day of Christmas, my true love gave to me four calling birds...” The fourth in our much-loved Twelve Days of Christmas Ornament set, the Four Calling Birds Ornament is a beautiful depiction of the classic Christmas song’s fourth line. While the original meaning of each gift in the song is unknown, many believe that the Four Calling Birds denote the four Gospel writers: Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.
The center of this pewter ornament swivels on its axis (which is true for all 12 ornaments)—allowing you to create a sense of variety and dimension on your tree, in a window, or wherever you hang your ornaments. Each ornament’s center is two-sided, so you can see the image from any angle.
