All Danforth barware is spun by hand in our Middlebury, Vermont workshop and meets or exceeds all FDA food-safety standards. We recommend hand-washing pewter barware with warm soap and water, then drying it completely.

I purchased this as a retirement gift for a friend of mine...had his surname engraved on it. He will be spending lots of time relaxing on his boat and I know he will really enjoy drinking from this tankard! The mug is very substantial in weight, the engraving is beautiful....it is a very handsome masculine piece of art! Thanks Danforth!
These pints make a great graduation gift. Especially if the university happens to use one of the icons that they have available for engraving. Luckily the fleur de lis works perfectly for a St. Louis University grad. Started his set with his undergrad graduation and now finishing it with his grad school accomplishment. They were very helpful in arranging the engraving as I wanted, which was different than what was offered online.
In its simplest form, the Pint Mug is truly beautiful, and with the engraving of our monograms, the mug looks truly regal. If one is filling the mug with beer, however, care must be taken to pour slowly as the mug holds exactly a pint, leaving little room for the foam. For this reason, I suggest making the mug slightly larger--to 20 oz.? Nevertheless, I like the mug and its shape. I use it as part of my outfit for the Maryland Renaissance Festival.
