Received this for a 50th birthday gift to ad to my stein and early American pint collection. Certainly my favorite.

Originally a Shirley Pewter design, The President's Mug is now proudly handcrafted in Danforth Pewter's workshop in Middlebury, Vermont. This 18-ounce pewter vessel, with the traditional double "C" handle mounted on a slant, facilitated "bending the elbow" with a mug of ale in generally very crowded colonial pubs. Features a real Presidential coin mounted in the bottom. Consider adding engraving for a more personal touch.
Pewter barware is an excellent choice for cold drinks. It retains a pleasant chill, trapping in a liquid's coldness, which makes it perfect for a cold beer or other iced drink.
Please note: It is not advisable to drink hot liquids out of pewter mugs.
All Danforth barware is spun by hand in our Middlebury, Vermont workshop and meets or exceeds all FDA food-safety standards. We recommend hand-washing pewter barware with warm soap and water, then drying it completely.
Dimensions & Specifications
Each piece is spun and finished individually, by hand, which means all dimensions are approximate. Each item will have its own subtle variations.

Looks Beautiful!
We are keeping with our tradition that we established with our first grandson when he graduated from high school. This time the pewter mug engraved with his name, month & year of his graduation will go to our second grandson and he will be thrilled. As thrilled as we will be in giving it to him.

Graduation Gift
Purchased this as a High School Graduation Gift for our oldest grandchild. We wanted a gift that could be engraved with his name with a little different twist with the Presidential Coin at the bottom. We like it so much that we intend to establish a tradition and give each grandchild the Presidential Tankard upon graduation.

Perfect gift!
My husband admired this item when we were in Middlebuy this past summer, so I ordered it for his birthday (today!). I had it engraved and the work was beautifully done.
