This stunning oil lamp commemorates the beauty of Route 100 as it meanders through the rolling countryside of Vermont. Our nation's other iconic roads, from Skyline Drive to the Pacific Coast Highway, also come alive in this lamp's exquisite design. It's a wonderful piece of home decor for anyone who loves to relive their last adventure from the cozy warmth of home—while planning the next one, of course.
Oil lamps emit a bright yet warm glow, creating a truly one-of-a-kind ambience that's perfect for holidays, living rooms, dining tables, and porches. They are a beautiful alternative to candles because they burn cleanly and consistently, casting a bright light that's as perfect for creating atmosphere as for providing light during a power outage. Also, your oil lamp will last you a lifetime, needing only occasional oil and wick refills—so it's quite cost-effective!
Every lamp we sell is hand-spun on a 100-year-old lathe in our workshop in Middlebury, VT, by an accomplished spinner who must apprentice for at least two years. Our oil lamps make perfect gifts for weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, retirement, and of course Christmas. Enjoy them on your coffee table, mantle, on the porch on summer evenings, and even outside while camping!
The globe (the glass chimney) measures 6" high and the base is approximately 4 1/2" in diameter, at its widest point. Burns for about 3 hours per ounce of oil. Replacement globes and wicks can always be ordered through Danforth, so if your globe breaks or you burn through your wick, fear not! Exquisite Lamp
The workmanship on this lamp is a true example of the artisans at Danforth. This lamp is the fourth one that I have purchased. All of them are not only beautiful but totally functional in the event of an emergency. All of these lamps will be passed down to my daughters at some point.
