This is my second year ordering the yearly ornament and I am making it a tradition.
Snowflake Bentley 2020 Ornament

Introducing the 2020 Bentley Snowflake. In 1885, W.A. Bentley, a self-educated Vermont farmer who adapted a microscope to a bellows camera, became the first person to photograph a single snow crystal. "Snowflake" Bentley would go on to capture more than 5000 snowflakes during his lifetime, not finding any two alike.
Each year the Jericho, Vermont Historical Society commissions us to make one unique ornament based on Bentley's original photographs. A story card describing Bentley's work and an imprinted flannel pouch is included in each ornament gift box. The 2020 Snowflake ornament measures 2 ¬Ω" wide x 2 ¬Ω" tall and is tied with a wine-colored satin ribbon. 2020 is on the front as the identifying date that it was introduced to the collection. A portion of all sales supports the Historical Society. The photograph of the original snowflake is shown above, along with a picture of W.A. Bentley.
The 2020 Snowflake Bentley is NOT included in our Buy 6 get the 7th Free Ornament promotion. (Due to the fact that this is a commissioned piece for the Jericho Historical Society.)

This will be the 8th on I have bought.
I bought one of these for the first time, when my daughter graduated from college and moved out of state. I wanted her to have something to remember Vermont by. She has asked for one every year since. She wants to one day have a Christmas tree with just Bentley snowflake ornaments on it.

So Lovely
Purchased this snowflake to add to a wedding gift. I've purchased other Danforth pieces before for anniversaries, graduations etc. Always a good choice. Such special pieces to enjoy for years!

Lovely Ornament!
These snowflakes are so intricate and just lovely! Can't wait to hang it on our tree this year, along side our other Danforth ornaments. Will also be gifting one to each of our adult children for their growing collections. Appreciate that part of proceeds support the Jericho Historical Society. A win-win for all!
