I have collected bears and turtles for many years. So, when I saw this I made the purchase. He fits in with all his sisters and brothers. It is perfect for me. Quite small, polished to a shiny state, and fits well with my collection. (Which includes gnomes, other animals and a house.) I’m very pleased.

Totally honest review, The turtle looks great sitting on my bookshelf. I've had it for years and it hasn't really rusted at all or anything, so I think it's totally worth the price. I got this a long time ago from someone and I only found it was sold by this website recently. Even though it had the words "Danforth USA" written on the bottom. It seems pretty durable even though it does have a couple of dents from me dropping it. Basically, I think this turtle is great for people that like small, cute things like this. lol
I purchased the turtle along with several other netsukes. I absolutely love the turtle. He is very detailed and quite charming. I decided to keep him for myself.
I ordered three different netsukes thinking I would probably like this one the least based on picture on site. I fell in love with all three netsukes but the turtle is my favorite. He has so much character and expression and gives off a very nice vibe. I have decided to keep him for my own though my original intent was to gift the turtle. Just love the turtle!
I purchased this netsuke for a niece who has a tortoise as a pet. She loves it! So do I--I had trouble parting with it and will be buying one for myself. Danforth's tiny treasures are all beautifully detailed and finished, a pleasure to see and to hold.
